The 2019 Creek Walk will be held on July 17-19, 2019.
(All Attendees must fill out this form prior to participating in the Creek Walk)
Every year the Natural Resources Division leads a physical inspection of the active channel and floodplain of lower Cache Creek as a public Cache Creek Technical Advisory Committee meeting. This inspection, called the “Creek Walk,” is held over three days and covers the entire Cache Creek Resources Management Plan area.
The purpose of the Creek Walk is for the Cache Creek Technical Advisory Committee to observe and document the status of channel conditions as they relate to fluvial geomorphology, hydrology and biological resources. Members of the public are invited to attend; however, it must be noted that the Creek Walk is a walking tour and does require moderate physical exertion.
Attendees are encouraged to wear appropriate hiking attire (hiking boots/shoes, long sleeve shirts and pants, hats, etc.), bring any necessary hiking supplies (hiking poles, sunscreen, bug repellant, etc.), as well as pack their own food (both snacks and lunch) and plenty of water.
