Property Statement Filing Options
Businesses that are required to file with Form 571L and 571F can either file a Business Property Statement (BPS) electronically or by paper. In an effort to minimize costs and maximize efficiency, the Assessor’s Office is no longer including printed BPS with our “Notice to File” letter. However, required forms may be downloaded and printed from our website or may be mailed to you upon request by contacting our office.
e-SDR filing is no longer available for Yolo County. Instead, online filing is available through our Megabyte Property Tax System (via OBPF – Online Business Property Filing) for Form 571L (except for Financial Institutions with Alternate Schedule A) and Form 571F.
At this time, businesses that are required to file Form 571L with Alternate Schedule A, Form 571C, Form 571R, and Form 571W need to be paper filed. Printed forms will be included with your “2020 Notice to File”.
For General Aircraft and Vessels, electronic filing is not available and are required to be paper filed. Printed Form 576D and Form 577 will be mailed in February.
For businesses with multi-locations in one or more counties, the SDR network is available for filing.
Electronic Filing - OBPF
Except for Financial Institutions, this e-file system is available for all filers required to file with Form 571L and Form 571F. Go online to https://obpfn.mptsweb.com/OBPFN/obpf/yolo and start filing using your Assessment #, BIN (Business Identification Number) and Form ID provided on your “Notice to File Your 2020 Business Property Statement” that was mailed to you.
The SDR is a system for bulk e-filing Business Property Statements. It allows filers to file many statements at one time by uploading properly formatted Business Property Statements in the approved XML file format. Programming and/or software are required to create SDR files. SDR users are required to register online at https://public.calbpsfile.org/home
