Welcome to the Yolo County Agriculture Department

The Agriculture and Weights and Measures Department is now open to the public during normal business hours of 7AM to 4PM being closed for lunch between 12PM and 1PM.  HOWEVER, access to the office is restricted to only those wearing face coverings and practicing social distancing.

 The Department of Agriculture's primary responsibility is to enforce agricultural related laws and regulations pertaining to pesticide use enforcement, weights and measures, State and Federal plant quarantine including export certification, State seed and nursery inspection, and minimum State quality standards for produce.   The Department is also responsible for carrying out County-wide programs for both pest detection and weed and vertebrate pest management.

If there is a pesticide emergency or illness, please call 530-666-8920 and the Yolo County Dispatch Center will take your information.
