Esparto Regional Library to Provide Student Success Cards
(Woodland, CA) – As part of its ongoing commitment to increase access to free educational resources that students can use 24/7, Yolo County Library has partnered with the Esparto Unified School District (EUSD) to create a Student Success library card for all students enrolled in the school district. This card provides access to the library’s online research databases, including Encyclopedia Britannica, eBooks, eMagazines, eAudiobooks, and all other library materials. Students will receive their Student Success library cards this month and may begin accessing their accounts using their Student ID number, making it even easier to use the library.
Effective January 1, late fines for youth under 18 were eliminated by the library, and existing charges on accounts for students under 18 were forgiven. All students are invited to return to the library and start with a clean slate. This is another way that the library, the county, and the school district are working together to ensure that students have 24/7 access to the resources they need to succeed in school.
“Increasing access to library resources for EUSD students has been one of our goals for the last year, and we are pleased to make this happen. Library staff will be meeting with teachers and students to bring awareness to the free print and online resources they can use to enrich their educational experiences,” said Mark Fink, Yolo County Librarian.
