County Road 98 Bike & Safety Improvement Project Public Meeting Oct 17
(Woodland, CA) – The Yolo County Community Services Department invites residents to a public meeting on Wednesday, October 17, 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., about the Bike & Safety Improvement Project for County Road 98. The meeting will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church Social Hall, located at 27074 Patwin Road in Davis.
This improvement project will widen County Road 98 between Solano County and 1,300 feet south of County Road 29. The proposed project includes the addition of bike lanes/shoulders and clear recovery zones, and will involve intersection improvements at Hutchison Drive, County Road 32 (Russell Blvd.) and County Road 31. Under consideration for the intersections are roundabouts or signals.
The purpose of the meeting is to present staff’s evaluation of and proposed recommendations to the Board of Supervisors regarding which type of intersection should be constructed at each of the three major intersections. Input from the public regarding the recommendations will be taken and preliminary layouts for the proposed intersections will be available for review and comment. Continued opportunities to learn about the project will be provided as the preliminary design and environmental phases progress.
Staff’s recommendations will be presented to the Board of Supervisors on November 6, 2018.
