Make Career Online High School Your New Year’s Resolution
(Woodland, CA) – Join the Yolo County Library in celebrating the new year by earning an accredited high school diploma and career training certificate through Career Online High School.
With the new year comes resolutions and a great time to focus on education, career prospects, and free opportunities. The Yolo County Library has free scholarships to award to Yolo County residents looking to earn their high school diploma and advance their careers through Career Online High School. This completely free online program is brought to public libraries by Gale, a part of Cengage Learning, and it comes with an academic coach who assists with developing career plans, offers guidance and encouragement, and connects the learner with resources needed to demonstrate mastery and completion of course materials.
“The start of the new year is a perfect time to set a new life course and prepare for a bright future,” said Yolo County Librarian Mark Fink. “By offering Career Online High School, we hope to empower our residents to seek new opportunities and transform their lives.”
Learners will also receive a career certificate in one of eight high-demand career fields across a wide spectrum including child care, education, transportation and more. Most learners finish in one year or less and previously earned high school credits are transferrable.
“We’re delighted to partner with the Yolo County Library to offer Career Online High School and give residents access to education and the potential to change their lives,” said Paul Gazzolo, senior vice president and general manager for Gale.
