Yolo County allows licensed indoor and outdoor cultivation of medical marijuana in the unincorporated areas of the county in compliance with the county’s Interim Medical Marijuana Cultivation Ordinance. However, the county is now developing modifications to the County’s Zoning Ordinance to require a discretionary Use Permit, the process for which would include noticing of neighbors and a public hearing, prior to approval or renewal of a marijuana cultivator’s license. The ordinance will also establish approved zoning for licensed marijuana cultivation.
