Law Enforcement Conducts Probation and Parole Compliance Checks
Eleven of thirteen individuals were in compliance with their probation and parole conditions
(Woodland, CA) - November 30, 2017- District Attorney Jeff Reisig announced today that on Thursday, November 9, 2017, the Yolo County District Attorney’s Office Investigations Bureau led a joint operation compliance check on 13 individuals who are on probation or parole in Yolo County for gang offenses.
This goal of the operation was to ensure that these individuals were complying with their terms of parole or probation. Agencies who participated in the operation included Yolo County District Attorney investigators, Yolo County probation officers, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation parole agents and Investigative Service Unit officers, and Woodland Police Department Street Response Team detectives.
Eleven individuals were in compliance with their parole and probation terms. Two individuals were arrested for possession of a weapon and firearm replica.
If you suspect your child or teenager is involved in gang activity discuss the consequences of their actions with them. See assistance from your local school officials and counselors. Contact your local law enforcement to report any suspected or known gang activity. Seek community youth programs which instill a positive influence in their life.
District Attorney Jeff Reisig stated that, “While we will make every effort to help maintain public safety, talking to children and teenagers early will help deter their involvement in gang activity.”
