(Woodland, CA) – Are you looking for new places to take your family that are educational and inexpensive? Then come check out the award-winning Discover & Go program that offers Yolo County Library cardholders free and low-cost passes to over 40 museums, science centers, zoos, theatres and other cultural venues throughout Northern California and the San Francisco Bay Area!
This unique partnership between cultural venues and libraries was launched in 2011 to provide California library cardholders with discounted admission to cultural institutions in their own backyard. In Yolo and Sacramento County alone, library card holders will have access to the Gibson House Museum, Sacramento Children’s Museum and the Croker Art Museum. In addition, cardholders can choose from over 35 destinations including:
• Lindsay Wildlife Experience
• The Tech Museum of Innovation
• Bay Area Discovery Museum
• Madame Tussauds San Francisco
• The Marine Mammal Center
• UC Botanical Garden at Berkeley
• And more!
To access these amazing deals, visit: http://discover.yolocountylibrary.org/ and enter your Yolo County Library card number and pin. This service allows Yolo County Library cardholders to browse destinations by date or venue and reserve, print or cancel admission tickets online and receive reading recommendations related to the venue’s exhibits, hand selected by librarians. Use Discover & Go to plan your next venture or family trip! This program has something for all ages and will reintroduce you to the power of personal discovery.
