Delays due to Guardrail Replacement in W. Sac Area Starting July 29
(Woodland, CA) – Due to construction associated with the South River Road and Old River Road Guardrail Replacement Project, the following county roads (CR) will be open to traffic but will have lane closures from July 29 to October 16. Travelers may experience delays up to 20 minutes in these locations:
• South River Road from CR 158 (Courtland Road) to Rose Road
• Old River Road from CR 128A to CR 119
Access to properties and businesses along the closed lane section of the road will be provided at all times. Lane closures are estimated to be less than a half-mile in length.
This project will replace and upgrade approximately three miles of existing guardrail to current standards. Construction costs are approximately $1 million and will be funded by the Federal Aid Highway Safety Improvement Program. The low bid contractor is Midstate Barrier, Inc. (MBI) from Stockton, California.
