Yolo County Library Holds Free Early Literacy Workshop

(Woodland, CA) –Yolo County Library’s Adult & Family Literacy program, Yolo Reads, will hold a free training for early childhood educators and childcare providers on Monday, July 22 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Mary L. Stephens Davis Branch Library, located at 315 E. 14th Street in Davis.

This training is beneficial to anyone who works with children and will have a workshop called “Play Your Way to Literacy and STEM” by Dr. Betsy Diamant-Cohen, MLS, DCD, who is known for her work combining research findings with practical programming for immediate implementation.

“Early literacy is a great way to support families and help children succeed in school,” said Yolo County Librarian and Chief Archivist Mark Fink. “Yolo County Library is pleased to provide this free workshop for early childhood professionals in our communities.”
