Plant Propagation Gardening Class May 29
(Woodland, CA) – Interested in learning how to propagate edible plants as a way to increase food production in your garden? The Hanna & Herbert Bauer Memorial Garden is hosting a free plant propagation gardening class on Wednesday, May 29, from 5:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
In this hands-on class, participants will practice starting vegetable seeds in mini greenhouses which they will create and be able to take home from the class (all materials will be provided). This class will be taught by a UC Master Gardener of Yolo County. This is a great opportunity for garden enthusiasts to gain an understanding and appreciation for increasing food production that is efficient and cost-effective for themselves and their families.
Pre-registration for the class is required by May 28. To register, contact David Linebarger at (530) 666-8429 or firstname.lastname@example.org. The garden is located at 137 N. Cottonwood Street in Woodland, behind the Yolo County Health & Human Services Agency Bauer Building.
This class is free to all, and is part of the Yolo County Health and Human Services Agency’s commitment to providing education and resources that help residents eat fresh fruits and vegetables and live healthier lives. Free gardening classes are offered throughout the year at the community garden. To learn more about garden activities and classes, visit www.yolocounty.org/garden.
Please bring water and dress for the weather as the class will occur outside in the garden. In the event of extreme heat, the class will be moved inside.
