Yolo County Board of Supervisors Seeking Applications for “At-Large” Planning Commissioner
The Yolo County Board of Supervisors is currently seeking applications for a vacancy on the Yolo County Planning Commission to fill an “at-large” position. This position is for a person who resides anywhere in the County.
Applications will be accepted until February 15, 2019.
The duties and responsibilities of the Planning Commission include developing and maintaining a county general plan; preparing specific plans based on the general plan and drafts of such regulations, programs and legislation as may be required for the systematic execution of the general plan, and recommending such plans and measures to the Board of Supervisors for adoption; holding public hearings on any proposed zoning ordinance or amendment to a zoning ordinance and, after the hearing, rendering a decision in the form of a written recommendation to the Board of Supervisors; hearing and deciding applications for conditional uses or criteria for determining such matters, and applications for variances from the terms of the zoning ordinance; periodically reviewing the capitol improvement program of the county; and performing such other functions as the Board of Supervisors may provide.
