Gibson House Yolo County Historical Museum Plant Sale and Succulent Workshop

The Gibson House Gardeners will host a Plant Sale and “Make Your Own Succulent Garden Workshop 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday October 4, 2014 at the Gibson House Yolo County Historical Museum, 512 Gibson Road Woodland. Free parking is available and self guided tours of the open historic gardens are encouraged.  Visit the Historic Gibson House Museum and historic displays including the blacksmith shop & wash house for a $5.00 donation. The succulent workshop starts at 11:00 am a $5.00 donation is being asked to defer the cost of materials.  For further information please call (530) 666-1045 or email  



Due to unexpected circumstances beyond the control of the County, the Cache Creek Campground will be closed for the remainder of the year except for the following dates:

Dates open in 2014: Opening at 11:00am on August 28th through and including September 1st.  The campground will be closed at 11:00am on September 2nd to all visitors and campers until Spring 2015.

Refunds will automatically be issued to all campers who have made reservations except on the dates over the Labor Day weekend that the campground remains open.

The campground will reopen in Spring of 2015 – Please accept our sincere apologies for this inconvenience and please check back with Yolo County Parks in spring 2015 for more information on reopen dates. If you should have any questions please contact the Parks office at 530-406-4880 or at

 Due to much lower than expected rainfall this year water levels along Cache Creek may be severely reduced compared with traditional water levels and may not be suitable for rafting or other similar recreational activities. For the most up-to-date information regarding water levels along Cache Creek, please visit the Yolo County Flood Control and Water Conservation District or 530-662-0265. Please consider this information prior to making your Cache Creek Campground reservation as refunds will not be issued due to lack of water along Cache Creek.
