Elections

The California Statewide Direct Primary takes place on Tuesday, June 5. Polls are open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm on Election Day. To find your polling place or to get more information about the ballots use the link below. You can also register to vote or check your voter status.

Library Ballot Boxes

  • Any person who votes by mail can drop off their completed ballot at any of these library locations throughout the County: Woodland, Davis, Winters, Esparto and West Sacramento between May 11 and June 1.
  • Voters can drop off their completed ballots between May 11th and 12:00 p.m. on June 1st.
  • Once ballots are put in the box, the voter cannot retrieve them.
  • No postage is needed if a voter drops a ballot off in the library ballot boxes.
  • Library staff will not have access to the ballot box contents at any time. The ballot boxes will be emptied by Elections Department staff and taken to the Yolo County Elections office for counting.
