Summer Reading is here!
Stop by your Yolo County Library branch to sign up!
June 1 through August 16, 2014
Here is how it works:
1. Register at any Yolo County Library branch and receive your Game Board.
2. Now you are ready for an ADVENTURE! Complete the activities on the Game Board and have FUN!
3. Each time you complete an activity, draw a star in the corresponding square to track your progress.
4. When you have finished 10 activities, bring the Game Board to the Library to get a prize!
5. Complete the rest of the activities on the Game Board by August 16th, bring your Game Board to the Library and receive a FREE book and other goodies!
Don't forget to come to the Summer Reading Library events! There is usually one a week through the end of July. Check the Library Calendar for the events at a branch near you.
*** If you lose your Game Board - or your dog devours it for dinner - click here to print out a new Game Board. We don't want you to get behind on your adventure! If the same unfortunate event happens to your little brother or sister, you can print out a new Game Board for them by clicking here.

A note for parents of pre-readers: If your children are too young to read by themselves, please feel free to help them with the activities on the Game Board by reading to them. Reading with your child of the preschool age is the single most important thing you can do to help your child get ready for school. You might also want to sign your child up for their own library card - there is no age restriction and a child of any age (babies, too!) can get a library card. Happy Summer Reading!
