The Yolo County Archives is looking for volunteers to assist in the following areas:

  • General Research
  • Transcribing documents using Excel or/and Word
  • Genealogy Research

All positions require the ability to understand and follow specific instructions, perform detailed repetitive tasks, communication effectively with the public and county employees and work as an effective team member.

The Yolo County Archives has appointment slots available on
Tuesdays from 9:00am to 1:00pm and on Thursdays from 12:00pm to 4:00pm.

The Yolo County Archives is a permanent collection of material pertaining to the history of Yolo County from approximately 1850 to the present. The collection consists of records from various Yolo County agencies/departments as well as those from private individuals and businesses. It is available for research on the premises. It includes a variety of media, including maps, blueprints, photographs, bound volumes, manuscripts and oral history tapes.
