California Rare Fruit Growers
Providing information on growing rare fruit including planting, pruning and harvesting information as well as book reviews and event information.

This site is "one of the most comprehensive horticultural sites on the Web." Features include the largest gardening forums on the Internet, databases with plant images and data, and articles for new gardeners.

Gardening Launch Pad
One of the largest sources for gardening information on the Web, this site links to over 4,700 different gardening sites. Links are divided into more than 90 categories, ranging from carnivorous plants to organic gardening.

UCD Fruit and Nut Research Center
Includes information about a variety of fruits and nuts from almonds to walnuts and apples to strawberries. The site provides basic information about how to grow each crops, associated pests and diseases. In additiona there are online publications and information irrigation and soil management.

UCD Integrated Pest Management
The University of California Statewide Integrated Pest Management Program helps deal with pests and diseases in a responsible manner. Hosts an identification helper, a weed gallery, and a natural enemy gallery.

Redwood Barn Nursery is a local, family-owned independant retail nursery in Davis. Their web site covers a wide range of garden topics such as problem bamboo, how to water and favorite trees for Davis. Also has an extensive rose selection list.

The Sacramento Rose Website
This website is designed to provide the most complete source of rose information and listing of rose events in the Sacramento Valley Area. It was built and maintained by entomologist and rosarian Baldo Villegas.
