Rendering of Yolo Branch Library after new construction taking place within the next few years

The Yolo Branch Library, located near the center of the County, was originally constructed in 1918. Recent inspections of the Yolo Branch Library have identified structural concerns that necessitate discontinuing long-term use of this structure.

A temporary modular building, located next to the existing facility, will provide library services until a new option becomes available.  The temporary facility will open on March 9, 2018.

Farewell event: Saturday, March 3 from Noon - 2 pm

Stop by and say 'farewell' to the historic Yolo branch library on Saturday, March 3 from Noon - 2 p.m.  Community members will have an opportunity to take pictures, tell stories, and remember all the wonderful events that have taken place in this building.

The new facility will incorporate elements of the previous building’s design. This event will be an opportunity to contribute to that discussion and learn more about library services in Yolo.

Starting Saturday, March 10, library services will be available in the temporary building.  Hours and services will remain the same:  Tuesdays 1 - 5:30 pm, Wednesdays 3 - 8 pm, Thursdays 10 am - Noon and 1 - 5:30 pm, Saturdays 12 - 5 pm.
