The County of Yolo is currently seeking Interns for the Internal Audit Division of the Department of Financial Services. This is a great opportunity for students that are considering a career in auditing in the public OR private sector! Special projects will include creating electronic workpaper templates and building an electronic library of professional auditing standards and other authorities, assisting with the design of an audit manual, and other program procedures/processes.

Environmental Internship/Division of Integrated Waste Management
The Yolo County Planning, Public Works, and Environmental Services Department, Division of Integrated Waste Management (DIWM), is seeking students to work as an Environmental Intern at the Yolo County Central Landfill. The work will be part-time (15-20 hrs/week) during the school year and up to 25 hours per week during the summer, depending on the work load. The working hours are negotiable, but in general 15-20 hours per week during the school year is the minimum accepted. This internship shall pay $12 per hour. The Intern will assist with research projects in the field of anaerobic digestion of organic waste as well as other types of environmental monitoring and engineering activities at the Yolo County Central Landfill about 3 miles north-east of City of Davis.
The DIWM is engaged in various unique and innovative research projects in the area of solid waste and recycling such as anaerobic and aerobic bioreactors, organic waste digestion, aerobic composting, biocover and biofilter for methane and VOC control, and leachate/septic waste treatment system. The County of Yolo is seeking a creative Intern who will design and create a series of short media clips from 4-8 minutes in length that will be utilized for employee orientation, training purposes, marketing, and social media. The estimated duration of the internship is 6 - 8 weeks. The Intern will be required to work at the Human Resources Office, located at 625 Court Street in Woodland, CA. Filming may be required at various County locations; however, the Intern shall be escorted when appropriate and transportation will be provided when needed. Work may also be performed off site as feasible. Equipment and software may be provided and/or the Intern may utilize other equipment that is personally owned or leased from the University. The estimated total number of work hours for this project is 160 hours; 12-20 hours per week. This internship shall pay $15 per hour.
