Davis Building Project Information

In November 2007, voters in Davis approved increasing a library parcel tax from $42 to $88 annually with 73% voting yes, well above the stiff 2/3 majority required.

The supplemental tax measure will maintain current levels of service, add staff, and expand service in a manner yet to be determined in South Davis. It will also provide funds to refurbish and expand the Davis facility and upgrade technology.   Davis is a part of the Yolo County Library, and has taxed itself at a greater level than the rest of the County in order to provide a higher level of library service, including a 60 hour, seven day weekly schedule.
