Fruit Tree Care Class January 27
(Woodland, CA) – Winter is the optimal time to care for your fruit trees and help them stay healthy and productive. Join the Yolo County Health & Human Service’s Agency at the Hanna & Herbert Bauer Memorial Community Garden on Saturday, January 27 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. for a hands-on fruit tree care class in the garden’s orchard.
This hands-on class will be taught by Bonnie Berman, a UC Master Gardener of Yolo County. Bonnie has a wealth of knowledge to share about fruit tree pruning, common fruit tree pests and how to control them, as well as tips on how to improve the lifespan of your fruit trees.
This class is free to all and is part of the Yolo County Health & Human Services Agency’s commitment to providing education that can help residents eat fresh fruits and vegetables and live healthier lives. Pre-registration by January 26 is required for the class. To register, contact David Linebarger at (530) 666-8429 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Please dress for cold weather and wear shoes that can get dirty. The garden is located at 137 N. Cottonwood Street, on the west side of the building.
Classes are offered for free throughout the year at the community garden, and you can learn more about the garden activities and classes by visiting the website: www.yolocounty.org/garden.
In the event of steady rain, the class will be cancelled.
