Hazard Mitigation Survey and Public Meeting
(Woodland, CA) – The Yolo County Office of Emergency Services is seeking your input! Every five years, the Yolo County Hazard Mitigation Plan is updated and submitted to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The plan addresses threats from potential hazards and identifies possible strategies to reduce impacts. Yolo County, the cities of Davis, West Sacramento, Winters, and Woodland, the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, and Yolo County Housing are currently creating a combined multi-jurisdictional plan.
As part of the 2018 plan update process, the public is encouraged to provide input by completing a survey (here) to identify the community’s concerns about hazards. The survey can also be found on the Office of Emergency Services webpage under the General Government tab at www.yolocounty.org and printed copies are available at all Yolo County Library branches.
Additionally, the public is encouraged to attend a meeting where information about the plan, including the hazards identified, will be discussed. Please feel free to fill out and bring the completed survey to the meeting.
The first meeting will be held:
Friday, July, 21, 2017, 6 pm – 7pm
137 North Cottonwood Street, Woodland
