Comic Con at the Davis Branch Library

(Woodland, CA) – Embrace your inner super hero at the Yolo County Library Comic Con! Ditch the long lines and expensive tickets you’ll find at bigger Cons and join the Library for a whole day celebrating comic culture at this free event. All teens, children, adults, and families are welcome to attend on Saturday, June 17 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Mary L. Stephens Davis Branch Library, located at 315 E. 14th Street in Davis.
This program will feature an author panel with Jen Wang, Fred Chao, and Gabriel Moore-Topazio; a comic drawing workshop with the Walt Disney Family Museum; a vendor hall with everything from graphic novels, card and board games, to fun plushies; super hero storytime; a costume contest with a chance to win great graphic novels by amazing authors, movie tickets, and game store gift certificates; plus much, much, more. Fun for all ages is guaranteed!
Comic Con is sponsored by the Friends of the Davis Public Library. Events will be held in the Blanchard Room, Children’s Activity Room, Teen Space, and Friends of the Library Reading Garden.
No reservations are required and all programs are free to attend. The Mary L. Stephens Davis Branch Library is accessible for persons with disabilities.
