Cool off at the Winters Community Library this Summer

Post Date:05/20/2014 11:26 AM

Press Release

(Woodland, CA) – There are a number of special programs being offered at the Winters Community Library, a joint-use library partnership between the Yolo County Library and Winters High School.

The Tales 4 Tails program continues through the summer every Tuesday, from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. The program allows young readers to meet with a gentle service dog for 15 minutes and practice reading skills with that special listener. Space is limited, so contact the library [(530) 795-4955] soon to reserve time with a big, lovable pooch.

The English Conversation Group continues to meet weekly on Thursdays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. It is geared toward adults, but open to all who wish to improve their conversational English skills. Come practice your language skills in a friendly, communal atmosphere. No registration necessary.

Registration for the summer reading program – FIZZ BOOM READ! – will start on June 2. Stay tuned for more information.

Note: the Winters Community Library will be closed on Monday, May 26 in observance of Memorial Day and also on Friday, May 30.

The Winters Community Library is located at 708 Railroad Avenue in Winters and all programs are free. For more information about the Yolo County Library, visit:, or connect with the Yolo County Library on Facebook at
