Press Release

(Woodland, CA) – The Healthy Yolo Community Health Assessment has been broken down into seven regional reports, which include video presentations and Spanish translations, and all are now available on

Healthy Yolo is an effort of the Yolo County Health Department that aims to engage and mobilize residents to: come together to understand the specific health concerns and strengths of the community; identify and prioritize goals and strategies to address public health issues; strengthen the public health system; and ultimately improve the quality of life for all in Yolo County.

The Community Health Assessment is a tool that assists Healthy Yolo in developing and evaluating policies aimed at improving the health and well-bring of Yolo County residents. To better understand factors influencing health within each community, it has been broken down into seven regional reports which provide a snapshot of health-related strengths and issues in Yolo County communities. Video presentations are also available on, as well as Spanish translations for five of the reports. Additionally, English translations of the regional reports are available in all branches of the Yolo County Library.

The Health Department invites the public to view the regional reports and comment on the draft Community Health Assessment by May 5. Further, Healthy Yolo is continuing to provide community forums to present information from the Community Health Assessment. Input from the community will be incorporated into the final draft of the Community Health Assessment. The remaining community forums will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. as follows:
